Children's Books!

Recently, I had the amazing opportunity to work with Bab'l Books in illustrating two different children's books.
I'm pretty excited about the end result of the books and the very excited about the unique mission of the company. It was such a privilege to be a part of it.

Working with Bab'l Books was such a treat not only because they were so courteous and professional, but because they also believe in the value of bilingual literacy.

Bab'l Books was founded on the fact that it is very difficult to find bilingual books for children.

For many parents like myself who are trying to teach and preserve different cultures/languages in the home, books are vital. Not only does it help the children as they learn to read, but it fortifies the adults' understanding of that written language (grammar is hard in every language haha).

Here's a sneak peek into the books I illustrated:

A story about discovery and opposites, available in dual texts of English and Spanish, German, Vietnamese, and Portuguese.

Exploring the qualities of a llama and what makes them special; available in Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, and soon in German, and Hindi.

These books are part of a growing multi- lingual library that you view and purchase on the Bab'l Books site, or on Amazon as E-books for SUCH an affordable price. Look for the launch of paper back editions in the next few weeks!

I'm so happy about this movement Bab'l has initiated; that of making books available to all different families who are pursuing a multi-cultural life for themselves and their children and also those people who are looking to expand their knowledge of different languages. :)
