A couple weeks ago, I was asked by Tanei Henry, one of my closest friends and founder of Provo Girls Summit, to attend the Launch event for their upcoming Art Show in conjunction with the Neighborhood Art Center.
I was part of Provo Girls Summit last year as an live illustrator during event. Seeing all the women who worked so hard to be where they are in their professional fields and hear their stories was incredibly moving and inspiring. Speaking from personal experience and observing it in my own little girl, opportunities to personally connect with women breaking social barriers are pivotal in young girls lives. "If you can see it, you can be it."

It is such a privilege to be part of this movement, to enable young girls on a personal level to create, dream, and see the opportunities that not only the world makes for us, but that we make for ourselves.
If you know a girl between the ages of 8-12, tell her about Girls Summit, have her submit to the art show, and come! Grown up exploration encouraged too ;)
Details about the art show can be found here.
(If you were wondering, we made an indoor summer scene in a sparkly winter world haha isn't she so amazing!)
